Alhamdulillah we have finished week 7 of our preschool curriculum.
Some of the pages from the book. RA was not much interested in coloring this time. But we read the book many times.

As you can see RA didn’t color this book except the dua reminder calendar. First few days we colored the stars as we read the duas. Then one day she colored all stars. She said since she learnt many duas (not only duas for sleep and wake up times), she would color all of the stars.
She liked to make different words with same ending. I just told her the initial letter and she told me what the word would sound like.

We read this verse and explained her how merciful Allah SWT that He has made night so that we can take rest.
We talked about why we need to sleep. We used this website for our resources. I told her that we get tired, that’s why we need rest to regain our energy and also to help our brain to work properly. She immediately said that she felt tired and rested her head on a pillow :)
We matched the cards, printed from the same website. This is a set of opposite cards about things we should do and should not do before going to sleep.
I printed a set of morning routine card from this site as an attempt to introduce her with the concept of “routine”. Alhamdulillah she got that, and first few days she worked accordingly. Now she follows that routine whenever she likes to and she gets rewards every time she follows. She also taught abbu (daddy) what he should do when he wakes up. :)

Our main activities of this week revolved around calendar theme. All activities are detailed in literacy and math section.
Arabic Alphabet:
Asmaul husnah:
We talked about Al-Hafidh and Al-Mowla. Our computer was not working at that time so we could not print anything and thus no coloring this time.
Surah memorization:
Alhamdulillah RA has learnt surah Nas. Now she knows all three surahs she should recite before sleep.
Dua of the week:
RA already knows the dua for going to bed. So we learnt what to say when we wake up. We taped two dua posters on the wall. We got them at ad-duha website.
We learnt the three etiquettes of sleeping- reciting Ayatul kursi, reciting last three surahs of the Quran (dragging hands all over the body), and finally facing on the right side while sleeping.
This week update on math and literacy is here.
